Jennifer Levy graduated with a Bachelors in Sociology with a Concentration in Healthcare Services and a Masters of Social Work. She is a Licensed Social Worker and a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. With over 30 years of experience, she spent the first part of her career working as a licensed social worker in skilled, transitional care and home health settings. Upon obtaining her Administrators license, Jennifer worked as a licensed Administrator and Regional Director of Operations in the private, for profit and not for profit sector. In 2005, working for her family owned skilled nursing facility, Jennifer assumed the role of VP of Operations, overseeing the operations of their outpatient dialysis unit, chronic kidney disease clinic, home hemo-dialysis unit, retail pharmacy and 246 bed skilled nursing facility. During her tenure, Jennifer developed a clinical blood laboratory that serviced skilled nursing facilities in the tri-state area as well as developed clinical programs that allowed skilled nursing facilities to benchmark patient outcomes . Prior to COVID, along with the South New Jersey hospital systems and their post acute preferred providers over a two year time period, worked to develop communication pathways that allow emergency room physicians the platform to have more seamless and comprehensive collaboration with their downstream providers. Based on her work over that time, inclusive of the development of the SNF to ED Consultation form, Jennifer sat on the state committee to revise the Universal Transfer Form and regulate education for New Jersey healthcare providers related to this initiative with the New Jersey Department of Health, New Jersey Hospital Association and New Jersey Healthcare Association. In 2023 Jennifer was elected to the board of the New Jersey Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Administrators and serves as their Vice President of the Chapter. Jennifer currently owns and operates J Levy Associates LLC, is a partner in New Era Health Associates, which provides consulting, Education and operational oversight services to the healthcare industry and is also a Co-Founder of Valor Education, Training and Certification LLC.
Elliott J. Cohen, President of New Era Health Associates Corp, has been a consultant to the healthcare industry for the past ten years. He is a founder of New Era Health Associates Corp. which provides consulting services to the Long Term Care industry, including census building, marketing plans on new facilities, purchasing, software and hardware implementations, product development, recruiting services, financial services, and many other types of services to increase efficiency in operations. He has overseen the NJDOH Mandated Directed Plan of Corrections and Mandated Oversight of multiple healthcare facilities in the state of NJ over the past 15 years, including administrative and clinical requirements. Mr. Cohen has been approved as an expert witness in the healthcare industry.
